The cost of creating an extension for VirtueMart could be anywhere between $250- $5000 for a developer, once you factor in support, bug fix and feature updates.

At VirtueMart Extensions our goal is to reduce the cost of such extensions to between $20- $60 for individual users. How? We bite the initial development cost and pay a developer to develop an extension, then we sell it for fraction of the development cost. Once we recoup our initial investment we make the extension free*, yes, your read it correctly, free*. We are not here to make a profit, but recoup our initial cost, and once we recoup our money we proceed to develop another extension whatever that might be.

*Free – The extension(s) will be available for download from this site and subsequently we will donate the code to the VirtueMart project. It will be up to VirtueMart development team to decide to include the code in feature versions of VirtueMart or not.

Log into your account, click on 'Account Maintenance', not Download Area

In 'Account Maintenance' click 'View' order, if you have more than one order you need to select the one where status is Confirmed.


Click on product name to download.

 

Product Compare Price Increase

We are currently working on the next version of Product Compare, which should be available soon. The price of Product Compare will increase with the release of the new version.

New features that we are working on:
  1. Added compare_type configuration in the VirtueMart layout configuration. Possible options are none, category or global.
  2. Added global compare options so that products from 2 or more different categories can be added to the compare cart.
  3. Added a remove button to the compare cart. Products can now be removed either from the compare cart or compare page.
  4. Added a compare checkbox to the flypage. Shopper can add products to compare from the flypage (product details page) in addition to the browse list.
  5. Added a selectable compare page template to the VirtueMart global layout configuration.
  6. Added a selectable compare page template to category configuration. The category compare page template will be used only when compare type = category.
  7. compare_cart display factored out of the category header template. The user can customize the compare_cart template independent of the browse page.
  8. Added new $compare_cart tag to both browse and flypage template. $compare_cart can be placed anywhere on the browse page or flypage. The layout of compare cart is determined by the compare_cart template described in 7.
  9. Added a compare_cart_product template. The user can now edit this template to customize the display of individual compare product thumbnails and the remove button.
